All About Harrow Choral Society

Harrow Choral Society are a friendly, amateur choir of about 120 singers who aim to perform to the highest standard and to enjoy ourselves singing. Based in Harrow, just to the north-west of London, they meet to rehearse once a week on Monday evenings and usually perform four concerts a year. They also undertake short singing tours abroad every two or three years.

Their Events page will tell you what’s going on in the foreseeble future and how to purchase tickets and they’ve also included some details of what they’ve been doing in recent years.

Their repertoire is very varied, spanning five centuries of music, both secular and sacred, including the major choral works as well as lesser known pieces, and several new works actually commissioned by the choir.

Their Music Director is Simon Williams whose charismatic and inspirational leadership invariably draws from them concert performances of the highest standard and almost always beyond their our own expectations.

If you’d like to consider joining, new members are always welcome. There is also a Training Choir, Singing For Starters, for those who may wish to brush up their singing skills before auditioning for the main choir.

Have a look around their site if you’d like to know a bit more.
