Bob Blackman hails success of Government’s Police Reform as Crime levels fall

bob_blackmanBob Blackman, MP for Harrow East, has given a warm welcome to news that recorded crime in London has fallen over the last twelve months. Latest figures from the independent Office for National Statistics show that recorded crime fell by 2.7%.

Bob Blackman said: “This means fewer victims, safer streets, and more secure communities. Police in London deserve credit for rising to the challenge of cutting crime when money is tight. Conservatives are reforming the police and this fall in crime is proof that our reforms are working.”

Note: Crime down 8 per cent across the country in the last year. Latest figures from the Crime Survey for England and Wales (CSEW) estimate that there was an 8 per cent decrease in crimes against adults in England and Wales in the year ending September 2012.
