7 Days in Entebbe – as filmed in Harrow

Cast your mind back a year, and you’ll recall that the Civic Centre was sent into disarray when film crews turned up to take over the members’ lounge, the council chamber, and large swathes of the car park whilst using the council’s 1970’s-style brutalist architecture as the backdrop for an upcoming aircraft hijacking film.

Well, the trailer for 7 Days in Entebbe has now been released, with the movie scheduled for release in March 2018. IMDB summarises it as “Four hijackers take over an airplane, take the passengers hostage, and force it to land in Entebbe, Uganda in 1976 in an effort to free of dozens of Palestinians jailed in Israel.”

Take a look at the trailer:

We’re wondering if any Councillors will be availing themselves of free tickets to the premier…

Yes, I remember it well…. and so fully expect to see The Andersons on the Red Carpet next year for sure…….but it should have been called “7+ days on the Civic Centre Car Park”?

Now what was that again they indicated about it “putting Harrow on the Cultural Map”?
‘Nice’ to see IMBD doing this by listing locations as…… “the UK”….. and Malta…..
