Harrow Council has a vision for the leisure centre and the surrounding site, that we’re calling Byron Quarter.
As part of the work to build a better Harrow, the council wants Byron Quarter to be a true community of homes, which has modern leisure facilities, a beautiful park and sporting activities at its heart.
They’ve asked architects Karakusevic Carson, Gort Scott & Duggan Morris to start designing this new neighbourhood, and they’re creating designs using the whole site south of the park, including the defunct driving-test track as well as the car park and the existing leisure centre buildings.
They need your help to make sure Byron Quarter is the very best it can be. They hope you can join them at the first public event which is taking place at Harrow Leisure Centre over two days: Thursday 9 February, 3-8pm and Saturday 11 February, 11am-5pm.
This first event will be an opportunity to:
- Find out more about plans at an early stage and meet the team
- Tell us what new or improved leisure facilities could offer you and your community
- Share any ideas, concerns or questions you have about the project
- Give us your feedback and initial thoughts
