Cllr Raj Ray Complaint – Response and Apology from Cllr Ray

labour_roseIn response to our recent article about Cllr Raj Ray (Labour, Roxeth) being found in breach of two elements of the Council’s Code of Conduct, Cllr David Perry, Leader of the Labour Group, has responded with this statement, from Cllr Ray, which we reproduce in full.

“I would like to place on record an apology for not responding to a local residents email. It is widely known that I have suffered from ill health for some time and unfortunately on this occasion it has interrupted my duties as a local Councillor, and the necessary steps will be taken to avoid a reccurrence.

I have been a loyal member of the Labour Party for many many decades and have thoroughly enjoyed representing the people of Roxeth for 12 years now, along with the community work I have been involved in for over 40 years. Working in Politics and serving the people of Harrow has been my passion for many years however it is now time to retire and spend some more time with my wife and family.

I wish all Harrow and Roxeth Residents well for the future”.
