Council Announces Pinner Wood School Transport Scheme

Harrow Council has announced a number of transport options for parents of children displaced by the current issues at Pinner Wood School.

There are three options available:

  • A single termly allowance payment of £315, to be paid by cheque
  • A shuttle-bus service which requires parents/carers to accompany their children
  • A coach service which requires parents/carers to hand over their child in the morning and collect them in the afternoon.

However, despite being announced on April 12th, parents only have until April 17th to complete the form; miss that, and you’ll have to wait a few more weeks before you can get transport options sorted.

You can find out more about the scheme, and apply, here.

Just read on the Harrow Times website that the school has now been burgled. So that means the site wasn’t secured.

Seems a bit cheeky of the Council to ask parents to pay for transport to other schools when it was Council incompetence that meant the problem wasn’t identified earlier.

Sorry where are the council asking parents to pay?

The only option should be a coach service with the children accompanied by the teachers, free of charge.
