Council Survey on Highways and Street Cleaning

harrow_council_logoThe next four years will bring unprecedented challenges that will be imposed on Harrow and our residents. Each year, due to an increase in population, the demand for services is growing whilst Central Government funding is reduced. What this means is that the Council simply cannot keep running services the way we have in the past.

All Council departments will need to spend less money and some services may have to close or be scaled back. The Council has already taken measures to minimise administration costs, cut red tape and increase efficiency with the way we work as a Council, and we promise to continue to do so.

We want to start an on-going discussion about the impact that these proposed cuts will have across the Enterprise and Environment Directorship. Your comments are important and will help shape the Harrow of the future and help us decide which areas are priorities for you and what you would like us to concentrate on. Over the coming weeks we will be asking for your views on how best to action these changes and make the savings imposed on us.

This first questionnaire looks at efficiency savings on the Highways and targeted cleansing regimes:

For each question simply select your answer or, when requested, type in any comments you may have. We really want to know what you think so there are no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ answers! The survey should take about 10 minutes to complete.

The survey is completely confidential. Please note that the information provided in this survey will be treated in a confidential manner and any information provided will not be shared with other organisations. We will not be able to respond individually to each comment but every comment will be looked at and we will assess all comments against the criteria to see if we need to alter our plans in any area.

Please feel free to share this survey with your friends and neighbours.
