Council’s business directory to be launched at Access to Finance event

harrow_council_logoBudding entrepreneurs and existing businesses can get invaluable hints and tips from experts at a joint event hosted by Harrow Council, and the Institute of Chartered Accountants (ICAEW) on 19th June.

The event will also stage the launch of the third edition of the Council’s new and improved Business Directory, an online business directory and guide, which helps to support Harrow businesses.

The online version contains listings of local companies and Harrow businesses will have the ability to create, edit and verify their own company details via the dedicated website.

A wealth of invaluable advice and guidance will be available at the Access to Finance event, which is free to attend. It will be held on 19 June 2013, from 18:30 – 20:30 at the Comfort Harrow Hotel, 2-12 Northwick Park Rd, Harrow, HA1 2NT. The event will highlight the ICAEW Business Advice Service (BAS), which offers businesses a free advice session with a qualified ICAEW Chartered Accountant.

Harrow Council’s Portfolio Holder for Planning and Regeneration, Councillor Will Stoodley, said: “Harrow Council is doing all it can to ensure the local economy continues to go from strength-to-strength and the Harrow Business Directory is just another example of the ways the Council is seeking to support local businesses help drive forward economic growth and investment. It is an important practical resource for businesses in the borough. Not only does it does it provide an excellent guide to the wide range of goods and services that are available from businesses in Harrow, but it also showcases the many advantages and benefits that the area has to offer for incoming investors.

He continued, “I would like to thank all those companies and organisations who have supported and contributed to the publication of the directory through advertising and supplying information.”
