Full throttle fun for kids in Harrow – September 2, 2013

gokart_trackStart your engines because Harrow Council has teamed up with local charities and businesses to provide a day of Go-Kart decorating and racing for all the family.

The council has donated some of its old desks to Third Sector Potential, a local social enterprise who help charities build social capital. Their expert craftsmen have re-used the old furniture by shaping them into Go Karts and parents and children are now being invited to spruce up the old wagons by painting and decorating them.

The children will then have the opportunity to race their shiny new karts to a chequered flag at a special venue in Edgware.

Harrow Council’s Divisional Director for Community and Culture, Marianne Locke, said: “This promises to be another fun summer activity for the borough’s children. Harrow Council is happy to support this environmentally friendly project with the voluntary sector and help families have fun, get creative and enjoy themselves outside in the summer sunshine.”

The event takes place on Monday 2nd September from 11am-4pm at Flash Musicals on Methuen Road in Edgware. You must register to take part. To find out more information or to book a place, please contact enquiries@thirdsectorpotential.co.uk or call 020 3468 2282.
