Gareth Thomas MP Abandons Resident Group; Hits Brussels for Night Out

gareth_thomas_headshotGareth Thomas, MP for Harrow West, has been reshuffled sideways in the last couple of days, and is now Shadow Minister for Europe. As a result of this, he has decided to abandon a long-standing appearance at the South Harrow and Roxeth Resident’s Association, and to trot off for a night out in Brussels next week.

Clearly forgetting who voted him in, Gareth’s decision to get the next Business Class BA flight will be bound to upset any number of local residents who are likely to turn out on a cold Autumn night in the hope of shaking the great man’s hand. Unlikely that they’ll be in tears, but I’m sure more than one or two will feel a bit miffed at missing the chance to question him over the brand new hospital he promised some years back, which failed to materialise, or his flip-flopping views on Post Office closures.

Good call Gareth. Still, your political career must come first, right? Sod the voters.

Does this promotion now mean that Gareth is no longer restricted to standing outside buildings in Harrow West and now gets to stand outside any European building holding a sign?

  2. Cllr Willy Stoodley

Not if your lot win Jeremy!!
