Harrow Council Launches MyCommunity ePurse

harrow_council_logo

My Community ePurse (MCeP) is a personal budget and support planning tool that gives adult social care clients the facility to receive and manage their cash personal budget online.

We have worked hard to bring this innovative new way of working to our service users and carers, and believe it is a very positive step towards the personalisation agenda. The online directory www.careplace.org.uk is much easier to navigate than its predecessor, and has additional functions that make it easier for people to locate and contact services.

We believe in personalisation, and MCeP gives more power, choice and flexibility to our service users and carers.

Key timings for the MyCommunity ePurse rollout are:

  • September 2013 onwards – all new clients eligible for cash personal budgets will receive their cash personal budgets through MyCommunity ePurse.
  • December 2013 to April 2014 – existing clients will be reviewed and where a cash personal budget has been agreed will move to MyCommunity ePurse as soon as practically possible.

Any enquiries about this project should be addressed in the first instance to the Project Manager, Jo Archer at johanna.archer@harrow.gov.uk or tel: 020 8424 1150.
