Harrow Seeks Feedback on Childrens’ Centres

harrow_council_logoHave your say on Harrow ‘s Children’s Centres with a series of feedback sessions which have just been announced. It is hugely important that services for families are tailored around their needs and priorities and these regular forums, which will take place from February onwards, give people the chance to tell us what matters to them most.

Parents will lead the majority of the two-and-a-half-hour sessions and Parent Governors will also be on hand to relay information. As well as providing a platform for people to give their views, the forums will also be an opportunity to consult on issues and topics that may be important to those who use the Centres.

Harrow Council Portfolio Holder for Children, Schools and Families, Cllr Mitzi Green, said: “Children’s Centres play a vital role in our work to support those in need across the borough. We hugely value the opinion of people who use our services, which is why it is so important that parents, children, governors, staff, partner agencies and the community tell us what events, issues and changes they are being most affected by so we can deliver services as effectively as possible”.

Children’s Centres are a central point for families to access information and services from a team of professionals. There are 16 across the borough, offering information, activity and advice sessions that ensure that babies, children and young people get the best possible start in life. Forums are just one way that parents can have their say. Children’s Centres always welcome feedback and will develop services and policies based on consultations.
