Harrow’s “How To…” Guides Now Live

As we published last week, some Harrow residents have helped the Council develop some video “How to…” guides. Well, the site has now gone live, and can be seen here.

As they say… Harrow Council realise that there are many of you who would like to get involved in your community but simply do not know where to start. This is why they’ve have created the website.

You’ll find video guides to 10 different ways in which you can get involved, from organising a street party and running a sports group, to setting up a community enterprise. The guides are packed with top tips and invaluable advice!

You can also search for volunteering opportunities in Harrow with the online directory. There you’ll find organisations and groups that are looking for volunteers and you can search according to what you are most interested in.

We looked at volunteering opportunities – there are 331 of them within five miles on HA2, including car drivers for old folk, after-school club helpers, or umpiring little league baseball games.
