Harrow’s Planning Portal – Back to broken

harrow_council_logoAfter some six months of stability, Harrow Council’s Planning Portal was back to being broken again last night. Regular readers will recall that this portal suffered no end of problems in the past, even resulting in the restart of one planning consultation. However, it had been fairly stable for the last six months or so, and we’d wondered if if had finally been fixed.

Alas no.

Last night, a subtle blue box appeared, telling residents:

This morning, that had changed to a message announcing that there was a “high volume” of applications currently being received, and there was, therefore, a backlog. There’s no indication of how big that backlog is, nor how long it will take to get up to date:

We’ve got a request in with the Council to see if they can tell us how many applications are backing up, and what a normal volume is.

Is the word backlog a euphemism for it is still broken and we don’t know how to fix it in council speak?

Outrageous. This is the council that squandered thousands to crapita. And the web site is down. What is david perry, the part time leader, doing about it ? Who knows.
