Listed Buildings in Harrow – Now Published

harrow_council_logoHarrow Council has now published its most recent list of buildings of Special Architectural and Historic Interest.

The full list, which runs to some 17 pages, lists properties, cattle-troughs, gate piers, walls, paved areas, railings, gates, schools, churches, barns, museums and many more.

Of particular note are Sudbury Hill tube station, which was built in 1931 and listed in 1994; a number of telephone kiosks, including those outside the Bee Hive public house in Edgware (listed in 1987); a whole tranche of properties on Harrow on the Hill and a number of tombs and gravestones.

The full PDF can be downloaded here. For those with an interest in local history, it’s fascinating reading.
