susan_hall_leaderToday’s Mayor’s Question Time has recognised Council Leader Susan’s Hall work in cracking down on Bed-in-Sheds in the borough.

He said: “I particularly want to congratulate and applaud the efforts of Cllr Susan Hall in Harrow, who has done so much to tackle some of the worst abuse by landlords who charge people for accommodation in sheds and other structures unfit for human habitation. Thanks to the lobbying of Susan and others we’ve got the lion’s share of the funding for London to support local authorities in tackling this issue.”

So at the last MQT Boris gave full credit to Susie and only Susie for the successful lobbying for step-free access at Harrow-on-the-Hill.

Now He says: ”I particularly want to congratulate and applaud the efforts of Cllr Susan Hall in Harrow, who has done so much to tackle some of the worst abuse by landlords who charge people for accommodation in sheds and other structures unfit for human habitation.

Firstly Beds-in-Sheds is not a recent development it has been going on and has been reported for years. Bizarrely it is only now Susie makes it one of her pet projects and again is credited for successful lobbying.

Please can we have proper facts and figures, like how much money Susie took from Children Services, amongst others to fund her big clean-up.

Less Susie Spin, more facts please or are we to believe that Boris is now Susie’s biggest advocate and this really has nothing to do with the up-coming elections.

As a true Leader once said.
“You can fool some of the people all of the time, and all of the people some of the time, but you can not fool all of the people all of the time.”

At last correct Harrow Dude, beds in sheds has been going on for at least four years. Therefore why did nobody deal with it? Why did the Labour group not tackle the problem? I will tell you why, because it takes a lot of work, investigation and determination to get this sorted out. Luckily I am prepared to work hard, nag, cajole and fund the means for the Council to act, i will support our wonderful staff and make sure that this project is acted upon. Do I need to apologise- no I don’t! I will continue to make sure that things in Harrow are fair, make sure that planning enforcement is pursued. I will make sure that benefit fraudsters are caught and charged, I will stand up for the honest residents in this borough and try and help those that genuinely need help, I will not put up with cheats, liars and fraudsters. Knock me as much as you like, I don’t care. I will continue to do my best for Harrow residents and I am thrilled that at least Boris recognises that.

Well done Susie that little speech was almost verging on been Mandela like. I too am thrilled that you are thrilled that at least Boris recognises all the hard work ‘you’ are doing.

Let’s not beat about the bush Susie…

Did you take any of the £1million the ex Chief Exec put into Children Services to fund your pre-budget clean up of the borough (Agency staff, Blitz Team, Recycling team Neighbouhood Champions). If not where did you find the money because it had to come from somewhere and so far you have declined to answer the very simple question….

Where did you get the money from Susie?…

Carry on cleaning up Harrow Sheriff Hall. Litterers, spitters be worried the fines are coming. Criminals – Borough Commander Simon Ovens and Sheriff Hall will make Harrow the safest London borough to live in so be very afraid.
