Major Works in Uxbridge Road and Marsh Lane

roadworks-150x150Affinity Water are currently replacing three large water mains in Uxbridge Road, Harrow Weald (from Headstone Lane to Elms Road) and Marsh Lane, Stanmore.  They are replacing old rusted pipes with new plastic ones, which will help ensure the water supply and reduce bursts.

Work on both Uxbridge Road and Marsh Lane started at the end of September 2013 and will take approximately 12 months to complete.

This work will be taking place in some busy areas that will affect local residents and commuters, so Affinity Water have been working closely with the council to develop traffic management plans to ensure disruption is kept to a minimum. This means that the work that will have the biggest impact on traffic will be carried out during the school holidays.

Advanced warning signs have been placed at strategic locations around the borough and at the site of the works.

Vulnerable and elderly customers can notify Affinity Water of their special needs by registering on their Safeguarding scheme online on the Affinity Water website or by telephone on 0845 7823333.

Additional information about work taking place in specific streets can be found at the Affinity Water Customer Zone.
