Marlborough School – Another Council cock-up?

harrow_council_logoRegular readers will have heard about the ludicrous plans to relocate Marlborough School into the Civic Centre from September 2014. Harrow Council – just a few weeks into a Labour administration – already appear to have started cocking things up with that plan, and build of the school – on the Civic Centre site – is currently running a week behind schedule.

Whereas most other schools will be opening in September on the prescribed dates from the Council, Marlborough will currently be opening a week later. Given the slap-dash performance of other council projects – Lowlands Recreation ground ring a bell? – one week late could be optimistic at best.

The irony of Cllr Dave planning on being away in September, whilst the flagship of a disaster kicks off in his very own ward, hasn’t been lost. Still, suppose we’ll be used to it all by then…

If Marlborough School is going to be in Mike Lockwood’s old suite at the Civic Centre where is the proposed new Chief executive going to be situated in the Civic Centre? Will he/she be hot desking with Cllr Dave as he is only around two days of the week?

A building project that is a week behind, who’d a thought it… maybe they ordered materials from the same place Susie ordered her slabs for the Town Centre back in April (still waiting)

    lol nice one dude

Well of course Harrow Dude. I am not there to chase up and we now have a part time leader who you will continue to protect as he is a Labour member although I am not sure if he is a Union member, but then you would know…….

Susie that’s the point you didn’t chase up, you talked a lot and we’re still waiting.

As previously stated Susie you really need to stop with the cheap shots it is making you look bitter and somewhat twisted. Just because you are fortunate enough to be able to employ staff to run your salon for you does not make you a better leader. You never did answer that question about whether or not you pay the London living wage.
Perhaps you can tell us whose services you employ to empty the bins at your business is it Harrow Council?

I am flattered that you think I can protect the elected Leader of Harrow Council however that is not within my power, like you I too am also unsure if he is a Union member which of course he has every right to be should he choose to.

Susie you come across as very anti-union, I would like to remind you of the words of a fellow Conservative.

“Had the employers of past generations all of them dealt fairly with their men there would have been no unions.”
    Stanley Baldwin (1867-1947)

For the avoidance of any further misconception I am still not Gary…

I have been following the dialogue between Cllr Susan Hall and Harrow Dude. Harrow Dude you are obviously not her biggest fan but the one thing you can say about her at least she is taking the trouble to communicate with residents and workers.

Cllr Perry is acting like an invisible man we hear absolutely nothing from him on the issues people are concerned about. Does he feel that communicating with the voting plebs is beneath him?

Remember those who are voted in can be voted out.

Totally agree Concerned Harrovian. Too many people use this site for the wrong reasons and that is to have a dig at each other which is very unpleasant at times. I am very disheartened with Cllr Perry who has already made promises on here he is not keeping. He has put out to press and on here how he wants to interact and listen to people……….so far nothing? Hugely disappointing.
