Marlborough School Move – Delayed AGAIN

harrow_council_brokenHarrow Council again shows what a shambles its in, with Marlborough School’s return to a newly-constructed building delayed again.

Marlborough is unique in the Harrow school expansion programme: firstly, it’s in Cllr David Perry’s own ward, then secondly, the school relocated to the Civic Centre during the rebuild works. Clearly, this is front and centre of the council’s mind, so it’s another embarrassment for the council to see it delayed for a second time. This brings the building works to about five months behind schedule (or, if you read the school newsletter, “…approximately three weeks behind schedule…”).

Funny that:  just about a month ago, Kier – the outfit managing the rebuild – said all was on schedule. Now, just four weeks later, they’re suddenly three weeks behind. It doesn’t bode well for the rest of the borough’s schools that have disruption looming.

The school is now due to move in the May half-term.
