Nominations for Harrow’s Heroes

harrow_council_logoIs there a volunteer or team that you know that makes all the difference? Is there someone that deserves a big thank you?

Harrow’s Heroes is the Council’s annual volunteer award scheme that celebrates the work of volunteers across the borough. It’s your opportunity to publicly thank someone that has worked with dedication or inspired others. You can nominate either an individual or a group of volunteers in the following categories:

  • Young volunteer: Recognising outstanding contributions from volunteers who are 25 years of age or under.
  • Bringing people together: A volunteer who has successfully developed relationships between organisations or individuals either in their local community, across London Boroughs or internationally.
  • Inspiring volunteer: A volunteer that has demonstrated personal courage and/or overcome personal obstacles to help others or encourage those around them.
  • Health and Wellbeing: A volunteer who contributes in the arena of health, wellbeing or the environment to benefit the local community.
  • Lifelong volunteer: Recognition of volunteers who have demonstrated an ongoing contribution to the community for 20 years or more.
  • Volunteer Team: A dynamic and inspiring group of volunteers that have used innovative ideas or approaches and/or inspired others to make a real and lasting difference.
