Proposed New Roundabout: Junction of Eastcote Lane, Rayners Lane, Roxeth Green Avenue

Harrow Council has come up with a proposal for a new roundabout at the junction of Eastcote Lane, Rayners Lane and Roxeth Green Avenue in South Harrow, in an effort to make it easier and safer to turn right out of Rayners Lane into Eastcote Lane.

The proposals also include a swathe of double-yellow lines, re-sizing of a bus stop, and – much more usefully – pedestrian crossing islands on all four ‘arms’ of the new roundabout.

The plan below shows these changes, which will involve a considerable amount of road realignment and which will probably assist in reducing vehicle speeds at the junction.

The consultation that the Council operated has now closed – we await the results with interest.
