Schools converting to Academies?

Seven Harrow High Schools recently announced they are investigating whether to convert to academy status.

The seven schools are Bentley Wood, Canons, Harrow High, Hatch End, Nower Hill, Park High and Rooks Heath. The schools have commenced a four-week consultation about whether they should convert to academy status and it is up to you to influence what happens to your schools. The consultation ends on Monday 4th April.

School governors and head teachers will decide if they should apply to become academies. The consultation gives you the chance to influence their thinking and decide what happens to Harrow’s schools.

During the consultation, the schools want to hear the views of parents and carers, of staff, and of other interested people and organisations so that governors consider all relevant issues when making their decision. Each school is holding a parents’ meeting on Monday 21st March to discuss the issue (please check times with the individual schools).
