Somervell Road Residents Demand Traffic Calming

20141107_speeding_carResidents of Somervell Road in South Harrow are demanding traffic calming measures following a number of speeding cars in the area.

They submitted a petition to the council’s Traffic and Road Safety Panel – TARSAP – recently, and are now gathering support to attend the next TARSAP meeting on December 10 at 7.30.

Previous attempts to get traffic calming measures implemented resulted in the council telling them “…there were no speed-related personal injury accidents in the last three years” – however, traffic has increased along the road due to traffic calming measures implemented in other, nearby, roads.

“If,” they say, “you are able to come along, it will be great support.”
