South Harrow Massage Parlour?

A planning application has been submitted to Harrow Council to open a ‘Therapeutic Massage Parlour’ in South Harrow.  Actually, it would be more accurate to say that an application has been submitted for a change of use of an empty premises from A2 to D1, but that’s just semantics, really.

The location in question is the design and print shop – was it called Genesis for a while? – at 2 Station Parade, off of the Northolt Road.  You can read the Design and Access Statement here or, indeed, search Harrow’s Planning Portal for P/0055/11 for all the necessary documents.

“It should also be noted that 53% of the units in the parade are currently retail use” — Application

A couple of interesting points from the application worth mentioning… the business would expect around two customers per day at startup, increasing to 8-10 by the end of the year, and the business would operate during reasonable shop trading hours. Additionally, the ground-floor plan calls for five consulting rooms, of varying sizes.

The application was granted, subject to a couple of reasonable conditions around hours of operation:

  • Opening hours of 11.00 – 200 during the week, 10.00 – 18.00 on Saturdays and 11.00 – 18.00 on Sundays.

Its always good to see new businesses open in South Harrow.  We wish them luck.
