Susan Says: Neighbourhood Champions Newsletter

susan_hall_leaderDear Champion,

This past month we have had more than 40 reports from you, our Neighbourhood Champions, to let us know about issues in your neighbourhood.

Reports have ranged from fly tipping, cracks in concrete through to fallen trees. As always we thank you for your time and effort in helping us make the borough cleaner, safer and fairer. We couldn’t do it without you. Often when our Champions report urgent issues that need major attention it will be the Blitz Team who will be the first to take action. Since its creation in October, the Blitz Team has responded to 53 requests. It also led recovery work during the storm damage we experienced across the borough at the end of October.

We have had a busy few months working in partnership with the Police and Fire Authority and held our first ‘Week of Action’ in Northolt Road in November. The next ‘Week of Action’ is scheduled for January in Rayners Lane. We will be in contact with the Champions in that area so that they can join us on the day.

It has been a pleasure to attend the most recent training of our new Neighbourhood Champions on the 19th and 23rd of November. Another 67 Champions have joined the team. Welcome to all the new champions.

The next Neighbourhood Champions conference is scheduled on Wednesday 26th March. Details of this event will be sent to you in an invite and the newsletter. There are improvements currently being made to the MyHarrow portal to make it as easy as possible for you to use. Information sessions will be held so that champions know how to use it, once the work has been done.

Please don’t hesitate to give us feedback about what you would like to see in this newsletter in the coming

As always please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any concerns and issues, and keep up the good work!
