Susan says: Newton Farm SATs Results a ‘Serious Misconduct’

susan_hall_leaderHardly had we published the story about the odd goings-on at Newton Farm, when the Council sent a press comment from their Leader, Cllr Susan Hall.

Blunt and pithy, she says:

“It is grossly unfair that these children will not now receive some of their SAT results because of the irresponsible conduct of others.

The decision on what action is to be taken now lies with the school Governors, but I would strongly urge them to utilise any and all disciplinary measures at their disposal. They must not only address this most serious misconduct, I also wish to make it clear that such behaviour is absolutely not welcome in any of Harrow’s schools.”

iharrow.com asked the Chair of Governors a few questions:

  • Has the headteacher, or any other member of staff or governors, resigned or been suspended at the moment over this?
  • How many children were affected – ie: how many is a ‘handful’?
  • When was the STA’s investigation?
  • Why is there no mention of this on the school’s website?

No response yet. We’ll keep you posted.
