Under One Sky – September 21, 2014

under_one_sky_2011Keep your diaries clear and save the date for Harrow’s Annual Celebration of culture and diversity – Under One Sky, taking place on Sunday, 21st September at Byron Park.

Come along to the free event packed with a programme full of music, dance, parades, sports, fun fair, food and more to keep you entertained. Working with local community groups and schools, Harrow Council will showcase talent around the borough alongside professional entertainment for the whole family.

This year’s Under One Sky will also take a step back in time celebrating 60 years of Harrow, with the theme of 1954 including Flash Musical’s 1950’s themed ‘All Our Yesterdays’, swing dance, arts and crafts, fancy dress and vintage cars for everyone to take part in celebrating Harrow’s Diamond Jubilee.

Portfolio holder for community, culture and resident engagement Cllr Sue Anderson said: “Under One Sky is for the whole community to come together and celebrate our rich diversity and culture. This year’s event is unique as we mark the borough’s 60th anniversary so we’ll be celebrating Harrow living under one sky since 1954.We will have a fantastic line up of acts consisting of community groups, sports, vintage cars and much more. There will be something for everyone. So save the date and be sure of a great day out for the whole family to celebrate and join in on fun.”
