Warm Homes Healthy People

harrow_council_logo Harrow Council are running a programme over the winter months to support the borough’s most vulnerable households.

In partnership, Harrow Council and not-for-profit organisation Thinking Works, are offering residents in the borough who are 65 or over, suffering from a long term illness or disabled a free home visit to advise them how to keep warm in their home over winter, whilst reducing their fuel bills.

A fully trained advisor from Thinking Works will offer households:

  • Specialist advice on lowering your heating bills whilst keeping warm
  • Advice on exercise opportunities and healthy living
  • Referrals for benefit checks
  • FREE door and letterbox draught proofing
  • FREE water saving showerhead and other water saving evices
  • Referrals for FREE smoke alarms and a fire safety check

To refer to the service, all you need to do is call in or encourage anyone you think would benefit from the service to call. To refer, or for more information, call Thinking Works on 0800 118 2327.

    Read the above with great interest labours going to help the elderly, but yesterday on tv ed said
    lst action of a labour gov is to remove the pensioners winter fuel payment allowance ???
