WEEE Recycling Day – January 12, 2015

ewaste-150x150West London Waste and Harrow Council Recycling Team are having a Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment or WEEE recycling day on Monday 12th January 2015 from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm at the Civic Centre in Harrow.

On average, each person in the UK buys 3 new electrical items every year which costs about £170 million annually! As more items are purchased, an increasing amount ends up as waste.

If you have any small unwanted electrical items that you have been itching to get rid of, why not bring along your small broken or unwanted waste electricals to the Civic Centre so we can recycle them for you!

If your item can fit in a regular plastic carrier bag, then we will recycle it! Examples of items we will take for you include – fans, hairdryers, drills, toasters, game consoles, laptops, blenders, electric toothbrushes, battery operated toys or items, mobile phones, tablets etc – anything that has a plug or works with batteries!

Where: Harrow Civic Centre, Station Road, Harrow

When: January 12, 2015 between 9.00 and 5.00pm

If you have items that you are not sure about or you want to ask any questions about recycling your unwanted electrical or electronic items, get in touch with us on 020 8825 9468 or email info@westlondonwaste.gov.uk or visit the Harrow Council website.
