West Harrow By-election: Light blue touchpaper, stand back

explosionThe West Harrow by-election seems to have fired up with a whole host of local residents, councillors from all parties, local organisations, and others jumping in on the fray, over at the Harrow Times. Of course, it didn’t take long for the argument to descend into a free-for-all. Links to the comments pages are below.

Some highlights:

“The constant derogatory remarks about the present leader have to stop or perhaps these attacks are masked racism towards a certain group that makes up a large part of Harrows population…” – Cllr Krishna James.

“Very sad that this inept opposition chooses to spread false information…” – Cllr Nana Asante

“Furious! Council leader Cllr Idaikkaddar is nothing short of disgraceful, incompetent, and having seen some of the decisions he has taken, is far from strong enough to take on such a demanding and responsible role!” – Starbright, (presumably) a local resident.

“… he has lost the plot in his lengthy and disorientated argument…” – Pravin Shah, HCJ’s Legal Adviser on Cllr Barry Macleod-Cullinane,

“Labour Councillor Krishna James playing the RACE CARD AGAIN.” – Jeremy Zeid, UKIP Candidate

“Harrow has turned into a filthy dumping ground, Right move last year voted us in the top 10 of the worst places in Britain to live. If I was ashamed of this, so should the rest of you be! Clean up Harrow, and Harrow Council and Cllrs clean up your acts!”” – Starbright

“Anytime you want to take me up legally, I will oblige you.” – Pravin Shah, in response to Jeremy Zeid.
