Charity Auction for London 2012 Olympic Torch – October 2, 2012

A local charity, which we’re very fond of here at iharrow.com, have had a donation of a London 2012 Olympic Torch, which will be auctioned this week.

The charity is Jack and Rebecca’s dream to walk, something that we’ve featured before here, and is aiming to raise the funds needed to give these twins the operation that they need to be able to walk.

The auction will be part of a Pub Quiz Night on October 2, 2012 at the Three Crowns Public House on the A411 Bushey High Road, just opposite St Peters Church, around three miles from Watford town centre.

If you’d like to take part in the quiz – and these have been very popular in the past – you can find out more details on the Twins’ website – entry is £3 per person in teams of up to six people. It starts at 8.00pm and should all be done by 11.00pm.

More details here.

Updated: This torch isn’t an actual torch used in the 2012 Olympic Torch relay, but one of the mementos  given to the Games Makers. Frankly, we didn’t know that they did this, but it’s still very collectable and still well worth bidding on!
