Chorleywood LitFest: Howard Jacobson – November 7, 2012

Wednesday 7th November 2012

Howard Jacobson at the Chorleywood Literary Festival

Two years ago we had to move the venue when Howard won the Man Booker prize with his book ‘the Finkler Question’. His new book is his most purely comic novel yet so another evening of laughter is assured. His book is about a novelist in thrall to his vivacious wife, and also to her alluring mother; whose agent is in hiding and whose publisher has committed suicide; who is convinced that reading is dead but hopes that he has one last book in him. The scene is set. After his talk and answering questions from the audience Howard will be signing his book.

“On this form, Jacobson has better claims than anyone to be called the greatest novelist working in Britain today” – Mail on Sunday
