Hack the Library – February 10, 2015

meetup-150x150We want to develop a thriving community in Northolt where people explore, learn and make use of the most up to date making technologies as well as more low-tech projects.

There will be a designated area within the library, members of the community will have access to some of the most exciting pieces of creative and technical equipment currently availble such as 3D printer, 3D scanner, embroidery machine, CAD software programmes – and that is just the start of it!

We are looking to meet up with people who would be interested in taking part in this start up project and making it thire own. You may be interested to see how this equipment works; a student looking to make your ideas into a business but need the equipment and resources to do so; you could be an industry professional willing to dedicate some time in up-skilling others – be part of Creative Work Spaces today; or you might just enjoy making and want to meet others who feel the same.

Come along if you’re interested in:

  • Helping to build a community of makers, hackers and tinkerers
  • Finding out what’s going on and whether or not you’d like to be involved in a potentially autonomous ongoing project with your local library
  • Dedicating some time to work or demonstrate a project that makes your heart happy
  • Getting the support of a community of makers, hackers and tinkerers
  • Finding inspiration for a new project
  • Nurturing a new enterprise
  • …Or just generally meet people with similar interests in making, maker tech, programming, electronics and more.

Where: Church Road, Northolt, Ealing, UB5 5AS, London Borough of Ealing

When: February 10, 2015 from 6.00pm
