Harrow and Wealdstone Rail Crash Remembrance Service – October 8, 2012

Monday October 8th, 2012, marks the 60th anniversary of the Harrow & Wealdstone train crash – which killed 112 people – and a service will take place at 8.00 until 8.30am. A minute’s silence will be held at 8.19am – the exact time that  the crash took place.

The crash, which involved three trains, remains the worst peace-time rail crash in the UK.

During the service, the names of each of the victims will be read out, and guest will include those who were on board the trains that crashed, and people involved in the aftermath of the disaster.
