Harrow East Hustings – March 15, 2015

20150227_ksimc_logoThe KSIMC of London (Hussaini Islamic Centre, Wood Lane, Stanmore) are holding a hustings event for the Harrow East parliamentary candidates on Sunday, 15 March 2015. As has been well-publicised, the Harrow East constituency is one of the key marginals ahead of the 2015 General Election, with political analysts citing it as a key battle ground.

The community have invited the candidates to attend the event to ask questions ahead of the election on a variety of issues – the economy, NHS, foreign affairs and much more. We hope lots will attend the mosque for this important event. More details are available at www.hujjat.org.

Harrow East is a key marginal seat, with just a few points separating the candidates. It has been identified by the national media as one of the key marginal seats which will decide the election.

The event will allow members of the audience to ask questions directly to the candidates on a range of policies. Therefore, we would like to invite you to submit your questions ahead of the event by emailing Hustings@Hujjat.org, you will be called upon by the moderator on the day to pose your question to the candidates. Your questions may relate to:

  • Economic affairs;
  • Foreign policy;
  • NHS and social care;
  • Education policy;
  • Faith issues;
  • Environment and climate change; and
  • Any other areas of policy of interest.

The event will begin at 4 pm with the recitation of the Holy Quran and end at 7 pm. Dinner will be served.
