Harrow Film Makers – “It Happened Here” with Kevin Brownlow – September 21, 2015

harrow_film_makersOn Monday 21st September, Harrow Film Makers will be welcoming Kevin Brownlow to their meeting in the Canons Room of Harrow Arts Centre.

Kevin is a film historian and restorer of black and white films. He is an author and a winner of an honorary Academy Award for his work.

He was always enthused about film and as a teenager in the 1960s he set out to make a feature film, ‘It Happened Here’ about events had Britain Hitler had succeeded in invading. The film has been described as ‘the best amateur film ever made’, and some of the scenes were filmed at Grims Dyke Hotel.

This is a unique opportunity to come and hear this true enthusiast talking about the film.
