Launch of the Colinigwe Trust – November 2, 2013

knife_crimeOn September 10, 2013, 18 year old Colin Igwe was murdered on the Old Kent Road in South London.

The Trust was set up to offer understanding and support to families and friends who have been bereaved as a result of murder, through a mutual support of others who have suffered a similar tragedy. It depends on unpaid volunteers and private donations.

November 2, 2013 see the launch of the trust in Harrow, from 1.30pm at Harrow Civic Centre, where Jo, his mother, will share her own painful experience of losing a son to knife crime.

It will give those present an opportunity to participate in a discussion about street crime and violence in London and how we can respond positively in the community.
