@MPSHarrow Police Christmas Carol Concert – December 16, 2014

police_lantern_2-150x150Harrow Police are holding their Christmas Carol Concert on December 16, 2014 from 7.30pm at St John’s Church in Harrow.

Last year’s event was a roaring success, with church pews packed on a cold and blustery night. In fact, Sonoo Malkani wrote, at the time:

This Church which is centrally placed,in the heart of Harrow was packed to capacity. Many from our diverse communities attended,making it a rewarding experience.

It was lovely to be greeted by our Police officers and have refreshments deftly handed out by our Volunteer Police Cadets. They worked hard and deserve much thanks for their hospitality.

It was a real treat to hear officer Gail sing “Ave Maria ” and one other.hymn. I had a lump in my throat and guess many were equally moved. She has a simply stunning voice and charmed everybody.The singing by both Choirs was excellent and the Bag piper playing was icing on the cake!

Thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas Carols which followed many short,pithy lessons relevant to the birth of the Saviour. Felt transported to my Boarding School days!You could feel the spirit of Christmas loud and clear.

    This is one event I would definitely recommend for Harrovians.A golden opportunity to meet with the top cop in Harrow as well as many members from the diverse communities we boast.

    Feel so proud we have a Police Service which is making special efforts to be inclusive and engage with all our communities.PLEASE roll up and support their efforts.Your efforts will be amply rewarded.

    Come, all ye faithful.Let’s all be drenched with the true spirit of Christmas and be party to creating the priceless feeling of PEACE AND GOODWILL FOR ALL.

    See you there!God bless Harrow.
