Nautical Notes: Music of the Sea – Family Concert – February 2, 2013


Ahoy, me hearties! Join Trinity Orchestra on a voyage of musical discovery and learn more about the instruments of the orchestra in this family concert for all ages, captained by conductor and concert presenter Andrew Morley. Audience members will be sure to find their sea-legs as Harrow’s premier orchestra performs famous ocean-themed music, including excerpts from the Pirates of Penzance by Sullivan and Scheherazade by Rimsky Korsakov.

Plus, there’s the opportunity to come along to a fun-filled pre-concert workshop at 2pm. Bring along an instrument (not electric) and join in with musical activities led by acclaimed workshop leader Neil Valentine.

Children under 13 taking part in the workshop must be accompanied by an adult. If possible, please email your name, age and instrument to trinityorchestra@hotmail.co.uk in advance of the workshop.

When: February 2, 2013

Time: 2.00pm for the workshop; 4.00pm for the concert.
