From 9 June right through to the 16 June, there are a whole host of choirs, musicians and soloists performing, in suppoer of the Pinner Parish Church Restoration Appeal:
June 9, 2012 – VOCE
VOCE has its roots in the chapel of Trinity College Cambridge, where most of the current members first met, singing together under the direction of Richard Marlow.
June 12, 2012 – Pinner Parish Church Choir
The sopranos/trebles of the choir are young with an upper age of 18, whilst the alto, tenor and bass parts have several members who joined the choir as juniors. Many of these youngsters have gone on to University as Choral Scholars.
June 13, 2012 – Emma Johnson MBE
Emma studied the clarinet from the age of nine. In 1984 she won the BBC Young Musician of the Year Competition. She studied Music and English at Cambridge University and was recently the first woman to be awarded an honorary fellowship at Pembroke College, Cambridge. Emma was awarded an MBE in 1996.
June 14, 2012 – The Lindley Trio
Elizabeth, Catherine and Mark have been well known in Pinner and the church choir for a number of years.
June 15, 2012 – A Night at the Musicals
Leading performers from North London join together to bring you an evening of entertainment, featuring some of the most popular songs from recent and classical musicals, from West End to Broadway.
Showcasing the music of some of the world’s most successful musical theatre composers, the evening will feature songs from West Side Story, Les Miserables, Phantom of the Opera, Spamalot, Company, Carousel, 25th Annual Putnum County Spelling Bee, Oklahoma! and many more!
June 16, 2012 – Pinner Festival Choir and Orchestra
Featuring Fiona Canfield from the ENO, David Gould – a local Pinner resident, Anon Rich and Michael Selby, also from the ENO.
