Pinner WI Launches on October 1, 2012

A new branch of the Women’s Institute is due to launch on Monday, October 1st, in Pinner, with it’s first meeting kicking off at 8.00pm at the Pinner Arms.

The group has adopted the name HAWI – made up with the ‘HA’ from Harrow, and the ‘WI’ from… well, you can guess!

HAWI was formed by a group of women living locally who want to bring local women together. If you would like to learn a new skill or make new friends, please join us. All women are welcome; so bring your mum, your aunt, your neighbour and your sister too, or be brave and come alone.

Lynne Fearn, President of HAWI, said: “The three of us are very excited about the launch of HAWI. It doesn’t matter what age you are or what you are interested in, there’s likely to be something on offer for you. We have pulled together a fantastic calendar of events. The response has been overwhelming. We have over 120 members on our Facebook page and this is increasing daily. We’ll have a few surprises on the night, including a game of Social Bingo!”

Where: Pinner Arms, Whittington Way, Pinner.

When: First Monday of each month (from October 1, 2012)
