Roxeth Show Website Now Live

Harrow and Pinner Lions, the current organisers of the Roxeth Show in South Harrow have now launched their new website to try and drum up business in this local, well-established show. Despite falling numbers of traders and exhibitors, and the show attracting ‘tat-traders’ rather than the local community stalls it originally set out to have, it’s still well attended, and still worth a few hours if the rain holds off.

Stall prices start at £35 for 3m frontage and go up to £100 for 18m frontage and there is  a ‘craft tent’ this year, with tables starting at £35 each.

With the loss of Under One Sky this year, this even could well be the biggest show in the borough. Make a date in your diary for July 14-15, 2012, and hope the weather holds out!

The official website can be found here.

We have launched the website, www.roxethshow.co.uk Facebook page, www.Facebook.com/RoxethShow2012 and Twitter account @RoxethShow in order to make more people aware of the Show as we are committed as a local voluntary group to promoting this Event, which is for most of our regular Charity & Community groups that attend, an important event in their Fundraising Calendar.

Another reason for going so “Public” is that we want to reach out to other Groups that need a platform for promoting themselves and fundraising within the local & surrounding areas in these times of budget and grant cuts so that the vital services that they supply can be sustained.

The Craft Marquee is now making its appearance for the 3rd year running at the Show, and we have already nearly filled all the pitches in there, plus other bookings we have received means that already the Show is going to be better and larger than ever this year. In fact the number of stalls and variety has increased year on year over the past 4 years as has the public attendance.

The Harrow and Pinner Lions run two Catering Stalls at the Show – the Hot Dog & Burger Tent and the Bar. We have always taken bookings from other Catering stalls and have already received three bookings from other organisations that cover Ice Creams, Tea, Coffee, Snacks, Cakes etc. and have in the past also had Indian cuisine, healthy snacks and a more traditional doughnut & candyfloss stall. We always welcome bookings from any Traders that will enhance the offering to the Public who attend the Show.

The show is important to the residents of Harrow and neighbouring boroughs, as well as the local Community Groups and Charities for the platform that it gives them and this is why year after year the Lions endeavour to improve the layout, increase the Stall Holders and also provide a varied programme of entertainment.
