Self Harm Awareness Day – March 1, 2014

wish_centre_logoThe WISH Centre has started a Thunderclap to spread the word about Self Harm Awareness Day. They want to start breaking the myths and stigma associated with self harm by using the day to discuss common issues and raise general awareness.

Thunderclap is a ‘crowd-speaking platform’ – in other words, it allows people who care about an issue or cause to create an impact through social media by saying something together. WISH need 100 supporters by 1st March when all tweets & posts will be simultaneously released by Thunderclap.

So, at exactly 10:00am on 1st  March as Self Harm Awareness Day begins, the following message will be sent out by people who had signed up to the campaign:

“Today is Self Harm Awareness Day. Let’s start talking about #selfharm and start breaking the myths and stigma. #SIAD http://thndr.it/1kBVyU0
