Srishti’s Summer Showcase – July 7, 2012

Srishti — Nina Rajarani Dance School was established by Nina Rajarani MBE at the Harrow Arts Centre in 1991 and since then has provided traditional training in Bharanatyam dance and Karnatic music for children from age 5 years upwards, maintaining a reputation for excellence in training and performance. The school emphasises a strong, classical training firmly rooted in Bharatanatyam tradition.

Bharatanatyam is a classical dance style originating in the temples of Southern India. Characterised by its strong lines, geometry and symmetry, as well as its highly expressive
mime, it is probably the most popular Indian classical dance style worldwide.

In this performance, the students will perform a variety of pieces from the traditional Bharanatyam repertoire. The tutors of the school will also perform as part of this showcase, joining in the celebration of a high profiled and successful academic year by the school.

Tickets are £10 and the event starts at 7.00pm  in the Elliott Hall. Book tickets here or via the Box Office on 020 8416 8989.
