Tithe Farm Players: Who killed the Caretaker?

We’re always trying to support local traders, social groups and anybody else who tries to make South Harrow a better place to live. One of the more interesting groups is the Tithe Farm Player, a small Amateur Dramatics group, who put on 3-4 performances a year at the Tithe Farm Social Club in Rayners Lane. It’s only a small group, but they inevitably play to a full house every night they perform.

In June, they’re taking a break from the normal play, and holding a ‘Murder Mystery Evening’ with a fish and chip supper. The details we have are here:

Tithe Farm Players are proud to present an exciting Murder Mystery Evening with a fish and chip supper to be held on Friday & Saturday 24th/25th June at Tithe Farm Social Club at 7.30 p.m.

The murder is entitled “Who killed the Caretaker” and takes place in a Comprehensive School.

This will be a fun night – make up your own table of 6/8 people or alternatively come and join a table. Tickets are £10 (to include supper).

Please contact us as soon as possible to reserve your seats and supper!!

Since this is only a two-night performance, tickets are likely to go fast, so please get in touch with Carolyn and Graham if you’d like tickets.

If you do decide to go ahead and get tickets, please mention that you saw this advertised on southharrow.com – I don’t get any commission out of it, but it would just be good to know!

The play is set in the Caretaker’s Office in a busy comprehensive school. The time is “the present”.

Steve Harley is the caretaker of Blinkton-on Sea Comprehensive School. It’s fair to say he’s not the most popular person in the world. He’s lazy at his job and always on the lookout for ways to make ‘a swift buck’. He’s unpopular at school and rapidly making enemies…. But who would want to kill him?

Bob his bitter, over-worked assistant?
Miss Smythe the humourless Head teacher?
Mr Gerald Clarkson the overly-expressive Drama teacher?
Miss Shirley Clarkson the ‘over-friendly’ librarian?
Miss Rosemary Fieldmouse the neurotic Art teacher?Or…
Henry Morgan an unscrupulous local property dealer?

Detective Spence has got his work cut out unravelling another particularly devious and perplexing murder case… as have the audience!!!
