‘Wings of Healing’ Coffee Morning at BMI Clementine Churchil – April 19, 2013

coffee_morningThe team at BMI The Clementine Churchill Hospital and the local Northwick Park Hospital are this month supporting Consultant Gynaecologist Mr Onsy Louca and the charity he helped found, Wings for Healing.

The charity, which was founded in 2011, is a small UK organisation with big dreams to improve the healthcare provision available in African countries. Its main focus is women’s health, particularly maternal health where it hopes to make motherhood safer. Maternal mortality and morbidity in countries such as Ethiopia, where the charity’s work is focused are amongst the highest in the world.

To support Mr Louca’s next medical mission the teams at BMI The Clementine Churchill Hospital and Northwick Park are organising a joint charity coffee and cake morning on Friday 19th April. At the event patients, staff and visitors will be able to buy tea, coffee and cake in return for a small donation and Ethiopian gifts, made by patients recovering from surgery at an Ethiopian hospital, will be available for purchase.

The event at BMI The Clementine Churchill Hospital (directions here) will take place between 10am – 2pm and all profits will go to the ‘Wings of Healing’ charity and its medical mission to Ethiopia taking place between the 12 and 19 May 2013. Visitors are welcome and can be directed to the coffee morning from the hospital reception.
