Fire at Northolt Royal Mail Sorting Office

The BBC is reporting this morning that a fire broke out at the Royal Mail’s sorting office on Mandeville Road in Northolt yesterday afternoon at around 4.30pm. The London Fire Brigade reports that there was slight damage to the building, although four vehicles were damaged.

Local resident’s will be aware that this is just down the road from Northolt Fire Station at the Petts Hill roundabout, which probably resulted in far less damage than there could have been – two engines from Northolt attended along with two from Southall.

Police are reported as confirming that the blaze wasn’t related to bonfire night activities.
