Kodak Development – Only a few days left to submit comments

Local MP Gareth Thomas is urging residents to take part in a ‘community conversation’ on the future of one of the biggest regeration projects in Harrow for a generation. Mr Thomas said it was important to “take part and hold the developers to account otherwise we will not see a scheme that is in the best interests of Harrow.”

Proposals for the redevelopment of the Kodak site in Wealdstone have been submitted to Harrow Council and residents have been invited to submit their comments by Monday 23rd April. You can see the plans and make your comments by logging on to Harrow’s webs site Planning Portal and entering the planning application number: P/3405/11

Gareth Thomas, MP for Harrow West, said: “The regeneration of the Kodak site in Wealdstone is potentially a huge opportunity for Harrow which promises new jobs, a primary school, green open space and much needed affordable homes for families. But I know that change can bring uncertainty for local residents, with reasonable concerns about the impact development can have on traffic congestion or how increased pressure on the health service will be managed, for instance. I want to ensure that everybody who wishes to submits their comments to Harrow Council’s Planning Department so that we, as local residents, can have an open community conversation about the future of the area.”
