Obesity Clinic Opens in Harrow

A private clinic has opened in west London which has been specially designed to treat obese patients.

The Sudbury Clinic in Harrow features widened doorways and sofas which can support weights of 50 stone. A founder of the clinic, Shaw Somers, said: ‘There’s nothing more embarrassing that an overweight person going to a normal clinic, squeezing into a chair and the legs buckle. That has happened in some NHS clinics we’ve worked in. We felt this was an investment worth making. There’s an epidemic of obesity in the UK.”

Streamline Surgical operates one of the UK’s leading weight loss and metabolic surgery specialist teams, priding themselves on providing the very best care for all of their patients. According to their website, they have unrivalled experience in all types of bariatric surgery such as gastric bands (lap band) and gastric bypasses, and have one of the most extensive specialist support teams in the country.

he Sudbury Clinic is located in the grounds of Churchill Clementine BMI Hospital in Sudbury Hill, Harrow. Call 0800 157 7033 or visit their website for more information.
