NPH auctions signed England cricket bat for charity

With one of the biggest fundraisers of the year in sight, a hospital radio station is auctioning a cricket bat signed by members of the England Cricket team in a bid to raise funds.

Radio Northwick Park, a charity that broadcasts to the patients of Northwick Park Hospital, hosts its biggest fundraiser of the year The Radio Northwick Park Games this weekend.

In a bid to raise some extra cash, the team will be auctioning a cricket bat signed by the whole England cricket team – Captain Andrew Strauss, James Anderson, Jonny Bairstow, Ian Bell, Tim Bresnan, Stuart Broad, Alastair Cook, Steven Finn, Graham Onions, Kevin Pietersen, Matt Prior, Graeme Swann and Jonathan Trott – on eBay.

Fundraising Officer Dan Cottrell said: “We are thrilled to be giving away such an amazing prize for one lucky winner. All proceed are going to Radio Northwick Park and anyone can get involved.”

The public can bid for the bat on eBay until 6.17pm on Sunday 22 July, when the winner will be announced on air during a 2012-minute live show.
